The degree is awarded by Griffith University. It will have equal status to those awarded by the University to resident graduates.
You will gain an in-depth understanding of the tourism sector, underscored by sustainability principles. You will develop core business skills in areas such as financial management, project management, and enhance these with an understanding of how to manage employment relations in a culturally diverse context. You will also learn industry-standard systems and graduate with the skills and knowledge employers want, and be fully aware of the culture, service and competitive aspects of international tourism and hotel corporations.
You should have successfully completed an Associate Degree, or a Higher Diploma, or an equivalent in Tourism, Hospitality Management, Business from a recognised education provider, and are required to complete the following 12 courses. Depending on previous study and subject to the approval of Griffith University, a maximum of 4 courses may be exempted.
