The major is jointly operated by SIFT and the Australian Royal Melbourne Institute of Science and Technology (RMIT University). And its curriculum is composed by both local and foreign courses. The graduates can be delivered a bachelor degree in management by SIFT, as well as a Business bachelor degree (Logistics and supply chain management) by RMIT University.
The major is designed to prepare students for careers in logistics and supply chain management for international shipping companies, international logistics firms, international trade enterprises and multinational manufacturing companies, who speak fluent English and master the knowledge and skills of modern economy, trade, logistics and supply chain management.
Majors courses include: Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Accounting, Business Statistics, Financial Management, Introduction to Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Transport Economics, Procurement Management, Service Operations, Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain Management, Warehousing and Distribution, Business Plans, E-supply Chain Management, Logistics System Analysis, Strategic Management, Business Planning and so on. 20 bilingual courses are delivered, and 8 core specialized courses include 16 hours of face-to-face intensive lectures are given by full-time teachers from Australia.
Students will not only take the normal English courses and compete in the National CET4 and CET6 but also develop their English communicative skills through the ”global English” system. With the help of this system provided by RMIT University, students will become proficient in English listening, speaking, reading and writing, and smoothly complete those 20 bilingual courses.
